Using Labels

Top  Previous  Next

The normal function of a label is to add text to a form e.g. to provide a label for a text box; importantly the text employed can reflect the language used in the organisation and is familiar to the different users.

In addition, there are some other uses of label when you think about a label as a rectangular graphical item whose size, colour and z-order can be defined.

A label can be used as:

A numbered text item that can be used to help present work flow
A coloured box adding a background to group other controls
A device to help break up a form
