EA provides the option to apply a Gradient to both the Diagram and Element.
If you open the EA "Tools | Options" you will see that under "Diagram | Appearance" there is a panel labelled "Gradient".
| • | If you uncheck "Show Gradient Fill For Paper Colour" this will remove the gradient for the diagram. |
| • | If you select "<none>" for the "Gradient Fill Direction for an Element" this will remove the gradient for the element. |
