An eaForm LinkLabel is a control that has an active link from the labelled item.
The name of the element is shown on the form.
The value is the url that will be used when clicked and will initiate the default browser with the specified link.
Control specific properties:
|The text they want to display in the Name box.
|A URL which will be the source that they want displayed when the link is clicked (Note no checks are made on the syntax or validity of the URL e.g. http:///www.exploringea.com)
To access a file "file:///C:/users/fred/downloads/pdf1 test file.pdf"
To access a web page "http://www.myserver.com"
|Any optional arguments which will be appended to the URL at run time when pressed.
and press the Save button
When displayed on the builder form it will display "Link:" plus the Name
Using a data source as the target address
There is an option to use a tagged value as the source of the target address. To enable this feature leave the URL box empty and select the source item from the Optional argument is used as the data source e.g. a tagged value which will contain a valid URL that can be the target at run time. NOTE: No checks are made on the validity of the URL that is read!
Control specific attributes
|Link text - the text that will be displayed
|URL - the url that will be accessed if the user presses the link - if empty then the target is derived from an element field or tagged value that is selected through the "optional parameters" selection
|Opt - optional parameters that will be added to the URL; also used to select an element field or tagged value that will contain a target at run time.
|Enabled - means that the control will be presented at run-time - the default is that the control will be presented.
|Autosize - relates to controls that will adjust their size to the contents - e.g. labels, buttons
|Tab order - is the sequence number that is used by windows to move through the controls at run time
|Anchor - this sets the reference point of the form against which the control is fixed and affects the movement of the control if the run time form is resized. Valid values consist of a combination of these letters to indicate where the control is locked
